Call to Action! Stop the Crackdown on Medical Cannabis
Sources close to Jeff Sessions stated that he is set to rescind the Cole Memo that protects medical marijuana patients across the country in States that have enacted comprehensive medical programs. Sessions statement was, “It is the mission of the Department of Justice to enforce the laws of the United States, and the previous issuance of guidance undermines the rule of law and the ability of our local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement partners to carry out this mission. Therefore, today’s memo on federal marijuana enforcement simply directs all U.S. Attorneys to use previously established prosecutorial principles that provide them all the necessary tools to disrupt criminal organizations, tackle the growing drug crisis, and thwart violent crime across our country.” Sessions is not distinguishing from medical or recreational us. This is a direct violation of the rights of patients that are not criminals and should not be treated as such. We must stand against this injustice. As a patients rights advocacy group fighting for the rights of patients to use all types of alternative treatments that may alleviate suffering we do not agree with Sessions moves that takes patients rights back to the ice age. To date millions of success stories from people with debilitating medical conditions exist stating that cannabis has tremendously improved their quality of life. The government does not have the authority to determine what a patient needs in their medical care, that decision should be left up a doctor patient relationship. We are asking all our friends to please follow the link below and have your voice heard to stop this injustice now and protect the rights of patients across this country who are now able to access this life saving medicine. Without your voice people across this country will once again be treated as criminals for treating themselves with medicine.
Please do not wait…send your letter today to help ensure states’ rights are upheld. Our patients need the option of legal medical cannabis.
